Hydrogen, seen by some as the solution to our energy problems, has a dirty little secret. It uses a lot of fossil fuel input to create. It also has to be stored and shipped or piped under pressure to be used, making it less than efficient in that way as well.
These folks seem to have found a different way to create hydrogen, using aluminum and gallium alloys to produce hydrogen "on demand."

They even expect to have a portable hydrogen electric generator for sale in about a year. Should be interesting to watch this and see if it can be scaled up.

If this is as viable as it sounds and they can keep the whole thing affordable to the general public, sounds good.
